Stainless Steel Gearbox Made of AISI 316L / 1.4404 - Designed for the Toughest Conditions

When reliability and the highest quality are essential, we recommend stainless steel gearmotors made of AISI 316L stainless steel (1.4404, also sometimes referred to as V4A). Unlike AISI 304, AISI 316L also contains molybdenum (Mo). This makes the alloy more resistant to chlorides (salt, cleaning agents) and acids (e.g., organic acids in the food industry).
Its smooth, hygienic surface is not only resistant to contamination but also simplifies cleaning. This makes it the best choice for demanding environments.

AISI 316L Stainless Steel Motor – Maximum Hygiene and Corrosion Resistance

316L stainless steel motors are the ideal solution for demanding applications where corrosion resistance, hygiene, and reliability are critical. Thanks to their high resistance to salt, chemicals, and intensive cleaning processes, they are ideally suited for the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, as well as for offshore and marine applications. The smooth, non-porous surfaces allow for easy cleaning and meet the highest hygiene standards, while the robust construction ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation even under extreme conditions.

Aluminum Gearboxes and Motors in Hygienic Design – For Non-Corrosive Environments

For applications without direct food contact and in non-corrosive environments, our Hygienic Drives made of aluminum or painted aluminum (with a corrosion-resistant coating) can also be used. Thanks to their hygienic design (smooth surface), these cost-optimized variants significantly reduce dust accumulation. They are ideal for areas where equipment is washed with hot water.
