The brake functions according to the fail-safe principle. In the event of a power failure, the brake engages and can be opened via a brake solenoid. The braking torque of the spring-actuated brake is adjustable on site. The spring system is surrounded by a closed pipe, thereby protecting it against damage and pollution.

The KTR-STOP TB T can be used both as a service and a fail-safe brake. The drum brake corresponds to the requirements of DIN 15435. The brake pads are either "organic" or made of "sinter metal" depending on the application case.

The drum brake is currently available in seven sizes.
