Passive floating calliper disc brake - electromechanical

The passive floating calliper disc brakes are spring-actuated, and hence operate according to the fail-safe principle. Two housing legs are connected via a spring-mounted calliper at a defined distance to each other. The braking force is generated electromechanically. A clamping force of up to 1,400 kN can be generated.
