Hydraulic and electromechanical brakes

General information

Hydraulic and electromechanical brake systems are used worldwide in various industries. Customer preference and the basic conditions of the application determine which is the right brake in each case.

Hydraulic brake system - KTR-STOP®

This hydraulic brake system is really packed with power. As a floating calliper disc brake, the system is based on the classic disc brake and does its job safely and reliably even under the most demanding conditions. To ensure this, the hydraulic brake is also completely encapsulated and equipped with internal dirt scrapers and additional guide rings. Thanks to additional guide systems and optimised material utilisation – brake pads can be worn down almost entirely to the carrier plate – KTR-STOP® only requires a few and above all short downtimes for maintenance.

Electromechanical brake system - EMB-STOP®

The braking force is generated electromechanically. Hence, in comparison to hydraulic braking systems, maintenance work due to an oil change is no longer needed. Standard versions of the electromechanical brakes offer a contact pressing force of 2.5 kN to 1,600 kN.

Thruster brakes - electrohydraulic disc brake, drum brake

The spring-actuated disc brake/drum brake works according to the fail-safe principle. This ensures that even in the event of a power failure, the brake is engaged and the braking torque is applied. In the event of a power failure, the brake can be opened via a brake solenoid. The braking torque is adjustable on site. The drum brakes fulfil all the requirements of DIN 15435 and the disc brakes correspond to the industry standard, ensuring that they are fully interchangeable.

According to your requirements, the brake can be fitted with organic or sinter metal brake pads.
