Toothed belt pulleys, clamping plates, Taper bushes

Belt pulleys and clamping plates/mounting plates for reliable power transmission

Toothed belt drives are characterized by synchronous, slip-free power transmission with little strain being placed on the bearings. Due to the absence of a need for maintenance, their low operating noise and their outstanding cost-effectiveness, they are being used more and more frequently in industry and mechanical engineering.

Toothed belt pulleys and clamping plates are indispensable if you want to transmit power with a belt. Our portfolio contains a wide variety of profiles for diverse belt pitches and belt widths.

The service life and operating precision of toothed belt drives are influenced by the quality of the toothed belt pulleys. Which pulley material is chosen depends on the power to be transmitted and the size of the pulley.

If you do not find a suitable solution for your mechanical drive train in our standard product range, we will be happy to manufacture pulleys for you according to your drawings.

What we offer

  • On-site consultation and project planning
  • Dimensioning, incl. documentation

Belt pulleys according to drawing

  • A wide variety of tooth shapes and pitches
  • Special drilled holes and special tolerances
  • Different surface treatments such as burnishing, phosphating, chemical nickel plating etc.
  • Different materials such as aluminium, steel, stainless steel, …
  • Toothing with low backlash, dynamic balancing

Thanks to our different production machines, we can manufacture single pieces as well as large series.

Taper bushes

Taper bushes are conically locked, friction-fit shaft/hub connections. The bush is phosphated black as a protection against rust.

Advantages of using belt pulleys with Taper bushes

  • Can be installed immediately
  • Suitable for reversal of rotation direction due to defined friction fit
  • Better fatigue factors than with a simple featherkey connection
  • Good centring
  • High availability of different bore diameters
  • Stock optimisation

You can optimise your stocks and costs by using the same belt pulley with a Taper bush for different shaft diameters.

Taper bushes are especially suitable for use on shafts with a nominal h9 tolerance of +0.05 / -0.125 mm.

Please refer to our catalogue for information on assembly / disassembly.

Clamping plates / mounting plates

If a rotary motion is converted into a linear movement by means of a toothed belt, the ends of the belt must be anchored to the moving parts or to the fixed parts of the drive unit. They must be attached very carefully to prevent the toothed belt from being damaged/weakened. For this purpose, this series of clamping/mounting plates is available to you for correct attachment of the belt.

The clamping/mounting plates are only for attaching the ends of the belt. A preload force cannot be set with the clamping plates. The clamping plates are made of DIN Al Mg Si 0.5 aluminium.
