Type EDF low cost ball limiters covering torques 13-1,450 Nm fit between friction torque limiters and the high performance DSS & DSR ball/roller ranges.

These safety couplings give mid-range performance with the advantage of axial movement that can be detected by limit switches. Versions are available for chain drives or in-line with a coupling.

EDF torque limiters suit operation in dirty and we environments. They are maintenance free in most applications. A single engagement position that syncrhonises input to output is standard, other positions are possible.
