Compact couplings for high torque and large shafts 600 to 835,000 Nm

Steel gear couplings transmit very high torques in compact dimensions entering areas where other types of shaft coupling are unsuitable.

A special "Optigear' crown profile for the gears which increases the contact area and reduces stresses, leading to reduced backlash and long life.

Steel gear couplings are available in 4 types for torques 600 to 835,000 Nm and shaft sizes 20 to 475 mm. Models with a one-piece sleeve are more compact and lower cost. Models with a two-piece bolted sleeve can meet international standards AGMA or MAINA. This means that half couplings can be exchanged in the field. The ST gear couplings suit ambient temperatures of -10 to +80°C and have a protective surface treatment.

Type C: Standard model with one-piece sleeve available in sizes 28 to 170, rated torques 600 to 34,000 Nm. These economic models have a higher misalignment capacity of 2 x 10.

Type CV: Model with one geared hub giving a low-cost solution where there is zero radial misalignment. Sizes 28 to 110, 600 to 10,000 Nm.

Type CF A-B-C flanged sleeve designs meeting AGMA standard dimensions. Three variants on length. Half couplings can be exchanged. Sizes 48 to 170, 1,300 to 34,000 Nm.

Type CF D-E-F flanged sleeve designs to the Italian MAINA standard dimensions. Sizes 50 to 475, 1,800 to 835,000 Nm.
