The floating calliper disc brakes operate largely in an axial force-free manner with regard to the brake disk. This rules out any damage to the drive train in the event of incorrect settings and/or errors in the installation.

Structure and function

Two housing legs are connected via a spring-mounted brake calliper at a defined distance. The brake pads are available in the materials "organic" and "sinter", and are pressed hydraulically onto the brake disk. The short distance between the brake pad and the brake disk ensures short reaction times. The brake is released in a spring-actuated (fail-safe) manner.
